Recently installed a Hypertech programer in an 05 3500 dually. Ran fine for about a month and some change then started running rough and would not get above 30 mph.-:t Hooked the programmer back up and returned it to stock but still had the same problem. Took the thing to the dealer and found 2 codes a P2176 and P3120. They said the #2 and #7 fuel injector harnes was burned. I can't figure out how a programmer could burn a wiring harness. Hypertech tech service said it can not happen (of course)...My buddy was talking with the service people and told them about the hypertech and the said that definatly caused it but couldn't explain how it did.. They still fixed the thing under warrenty.. Any ideas out there?

It might have been a bad programmer. The program in the hypertech might not have been setup right or there could have been some electrical issue with your truck. If you are daring you can try again but I would suggest going with a different setup if you choose to use another programmer. Good luck
