If you brought the fluid up to temp 160F or above you should be in the middle of the hot hash marks. When you drained the pan you should have had about 7 liters drain out.

When you say drain i losen the plug and let it drain and only got about 5 5.5 liters max

Thats correct when you loosen the drain plug and let it flow. You should have got a little more but as long as your in the middle of the hot hash marks, when fluid is hot (160-170 F), on the dipstick then your good to go.

Do you check the tranny fluid like the old days? engine running in park?

Yes. Be sure the trans is up to temp of around 175F when checking. You want to be in the middle of the band and not at the top.

Thanks, and now for the big question, what type of fluid do I put in a '08 NBS?

Best fluid you can put in it would be synthetics either a TES-295 fluid or clone or synthetic Dex VI rated fluid. They tend to handle the heat better and can go for longer change intervals than a conventional DEX VI fluids. If interested in Amsoil I can help you get it at wholesale.

x2 I would use a TES-295 fluid.

Does anyone here on the boards run Amsoil tranny fluid? What do you think of it?

I do as well as many others. I have been running it for a while now and I have found that it handles the heat a little better and allows me to go extended oil change intervals which is good on the pocket book. :thumb:

I will be draining mine and switiching over to the Amsoil ATF Low Vis. Do I need to change the pan filter or just the spin on? 32500 miles.
