Call kennedy diesel or one of our EFI vendors for an ECM. PPE"s kit is just the harness I believe.

The ECM/TCM's in the conversions are still stock for the most part. I'm using the stock 01 units in mine with EFILIVE to make the ECM work as a stand-alone, and I'm working with BRAYDEN now to try and get the bugs out of the TCM to work as stand-alone. The TCM will work, but tow/haul mode in them stock is through the BCM. O/D lock-out on the 01-02's is on a seperate circuit through the TCM, but 03-04 is through the BCM. PPE takes a stock harness and modifys it to work in whatever application you want it to work in. I modified my own harness as wiring is easy for me to do as I have all of the tools and know how. If you don't have a donor you are going to run into ALOT of parts that will nickel and dime you to death in trying to do this swap. I highly reccomend getting Bigley's conversion guide frome the page and start there. I also have a decent write up on mine over at DTR regarding several of the hurdles I encountered.

For the TCM call allison sure they have a unit that is stand alone but probably pricey but may cause you less problems in the end also could call Curtis at Diesel Performance Research for stand alone ECU, again pricey but might be less problems in end. Or look for a WHOLE donor truck for a WHOLE wiring harness. PM me for Curtis cell number if intrested
