Hey guys, just installed an Airdog II in the LLY and made a little video. I was curious about how true the claims they make are, one of them being that an Airdog will make the engine quieter, so I did a test on noise level to document it. Other than the noise level, I can say that I have noticed a big improvement in the idle quality, general smoothness of the engine, and in throttle response. Just driving around normally the truck just runs better, and now it definetly pulls way harder in the top end than it ever has, especially with the hotter tunes. The pump is actually very quiet, the video makes it sound alot noisier than it actually is, not sure why. It is no louder than an electric fuel pump in a gas truck. I know alot of guys will say this is overkill for a basically stock truck, but I am happy with the purchase. I figure if it makes the truck run better and will improve it's reliability and longevity then it is definelty worth it. I going to put a few tanks through it and then I'll report on mileage. Anyways, here you guys, maybe a little long, maybe a little boring, but here it is.

Thanks.3db drop is significant to human ear.Next do dyno runs with AD2 off then on to see how much it helps power.

Good idea, Give me a week or so and I'll post results. I can tell you SOTP has made quite a big change. I honestly didn't expect to see such a positive change in the way the truck runs, but it really is different. These trucks should have come from the factory with a lift pump, oh well, I've got one now. I'll post more results - mileage etc...soon

good deal, thanks for the video. I'll be doing my TTS install in a few days. I'm interested in any mileage results you come up with.

Cool and nice work, but those kind of DB meters ain't very good for showing a change. Maybe a show for idle smoothness would be a glass of water on the hood.

how long did it take to mount pump with the quick connect lines? Was it simple plug and play?

Thanks for the vid-
I'm going to go Air Dog eventually and appreciate seeing it in action!
You definitely can hear the idle quality improve.

The whole install can be done in about three hours. The quick connect lines really simplify the install and the hoses they provide are very easy to assemble.
