I have to either wear a cap or sunglasses every day its sunny outside because the sunroof lets so much light in. I took it to a tint shop yesterday, and they said they cannot tint a sunroof. Any other fixes to this to keep the sunlight out? Thanks

Maybe try another tint shop. I also have a 02 yukon and I had 2 layers of tint put onto the factory sunroof.

I was told you can't tint the sunroof, the glass could explode from the heat.
I just pulled my sunroof out and am taking the roll up sade to an interior shop to have it made into a black out shade.
Also having the headliner replaced with one that matches. The light cream headliner doesnt match the charcoal interior too well. I am going to replace it with a charcoal one.

It was not too hard. You need to remove the headliner first. Remove the 4 sunroof drains and one power connection. There are only about 10 screws that hold the sunroof in. There are 6 screws that hold the glass to the motorized bracket. I have not yet removed the shade from the bracket, I was going to let the interior guy do that.

so how do you remove the entire headliner?

You need to remove all the door piller covers, front piller covers, rear uper seat belt mounts, overhead console, sunvisors, grab bars. Once you have these all off the headline should come down. If you want to take it out of the truck, you will need to remove all of the seats and center console. You don't need to take it out, unless you want to.
