i read in a service manual that my 93, has 6 volt glow plugs, if so how is it acomplished ? can i bypass relay and use push button with reg relay?

6 volt glow Plugs? Most of the glow plugs we use are rated for 10 volts(due to the power drop while they are all on and the starter spinning the engine over.) The only difference would be if you had one of the millitary vehicles that use 24 volt glow plugs. Not saying your wrong or lying, but I'd check that. Put a voltage tester on the glow plugw while its cycling and see how manyvolts your reading.

look again, I think you will find that manual says 10.6 V not 6 V

from what i can determine, a bad g/p relay. all conections are good, i have 12 volts to controller side of relay,gpits test good to ground when cold, i can jump accross main lugs and she fires right up. how am i doing? and im with you im going back and reread my book
