I was wondering if you can run Nitrious on the stock trans for the new 2005 LLY. I got the Edge Attitude and I am running the trans to defuel in 4th and 5th gear could I juice and still run the defueling or should I upgrade the trans?

I would use a manual nitrous system and lift to allow it to shift. Or use a window switch.

I would upgrade trans before installing nitrious, the extra power could cause your trans to slip.....:)

You will limp the tranny with that much power. The edge will only defuel what it adds not what you add with gasses or other programmers. I limped my Allison today with defueling on all locked shifts.

when you arm the NOS the arm switch disables the power window all at the same time, so no window up or down during NOS spraying....:cool2:

A window switch hooks up to the relay that operates the nitrous solenoid. You tell it what RPM to turn on and off. Turn it on at 2200 (if you launch at 2000) and tell it to turn off at ~3100 if it shifts at 3200.

This way the nitrous cuts off when it shifts to save the trans. Even a moderately built trans will not hold too much power during the shift. I can zing a Suncoast III with with nitrous on a big tune.

If it you spray through the shifts? You might even go slower. I don't have any experience spray through the shifts on a stock trans.

If you run a .070 jet and you have enough fuel, you'll drop a 1/2 second probably.

MY truck didnt like the edge. i did try to Spray with the Edge, and it didnt like it. thats my experience with Edge + NItrous

Stock trans + Edge and nitrous = call to Eric or Mike L.

I wouldnt do it. With the Edge box alone you are pushing the limits. Get the tranny done and it will feel like you hit a small shot of giggle gas.
