Here is what my set up looks like. I bought the Trippin mount and wow, what a great fitting piece it is. I used Auto Meter Carbon Fiber gauges and followed the Gauge Hotness article. I drilled the exhaust manifold on the truck, while running, tapped it too and drilled and tapped the upper intake casting while I had it off the engine. I also used the Auto Meter LED replacement bulbs for lighting. Here are the pics.

that looks very sweet. did you have to do any minor trimming at all for it to fit?

No trimming required and the Trippin mount fit very securely in the opening. :)

How easy are these to see while driving,? I would think the a-pillar mounted one's would be a little easier to see. Just curious what you guys think since this is the way I am leaning (overhead)

The overhead mount is slightly more difficult to see than the pillar mount. But, I find the pillar mount to obstruct my view a little, so I guess it's a trade off of sorts. I just thought the Trippin mount was a clean/cool way of mounting gauges.

agreed, its probably not good to take your eyes off the road to look up, but what I did was set the warnings on my Attitude so I only need to look up at it if it starts beeping, even then I know what it is.

those look good!!

How do you like those gauges? They look hard to read at a glance.

Gauges are easy to read during the day or night. I used a flash when I took the picture and it appears that the carbon fiber makes the face look blurry from the flash.
