If anyone is running this muffler on an 04.5 600 cummins? If so, could you please post if it has drone noise in the cab. I ran a Banks monster exhaust on my d-max and eventually took it off due to exhaust drone. Any information is greatly appreciated, suggestions on alternatives are also. thanks:grd:

That's funny, all the complaints I heard were of the drone the 4" MBRP made and thats why the same said complainers switched to the Banks Monster Exhaust!?!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/think.gif

Sorry I'm not answering your question, but you will probably have the drone with the 4" MBRP as well. I have the MBRP system on my CC Truck and don't find it objectionable enough to remove it. Anything other than stock will have some sort of a drone unless it's baffled to cancel this out. Then the "free flowing" exhaust is no more (at least not as good as it could be). You have to find a happy balance between too much noise and reasonable gains.

I usually run around 60 mph. The drone with my d-max was exactly at 60. I was hoping that it may be at least at a different point on my cummins, thus I could enjoy the exhaust and get away from the constant drone.

I am looking to do a muffler and tip as I already have a 4-inch exhaust but want info before buying. I may go with the complete exhaust depending on price in comparison.

It may be different enough to work on your Cummins. Gear ratios and the fact your engine is a different configuration may be enough to have the drone later in the RPM range (or sooner). Just experiment is all I can say, or wait until someone who has tried it answers this post.

ok, still unsure. Is anyone running a aero-turbine muffler with resonator? I like the sound of an aftermarket exhaust, just hate the drone. My kids think I am going deaf when I have to ask them to speak up to escape the drone. LOL
