How do i get my turbo louder like i here on some of the trucks?Is it in the exhaust?

I had a 4in turbo back on my truck it did noting for sound. jonathancasey19 08-27-2009, 05:08 PM they will never whistle anything like a variable vane charger. only thing you can do is upgrade to a better turbo or get a metal intake, boost valve, 4" exhaust, block the turbo resonator with a 2" plumber cap. Dont know if the exhaust made it any louder. The intake was installed before the exhaust. When I first installed the intake I actually posted here to ask if that high pitch whistle from the turbo was normal. My wife still thinks prolonged exposure to the whistle will make me go deaf.
