You can put a turbo back exhaust that helps a little. There is also an intake horn mod. You cannot really get the lb7 tubro to whistle very well.

Air intake, boost valve and yes exhaust.

Imo opinion on a LB7 you can not hear any turbine whistle so I don't think exhaust does anything

A metal intake tube and a ported intake horn makes it whistle decent but it will never whistle like a VVT

LOL, it be like woo woo. Then Bubb Rubb almost peels the line of cars parked on the side of the street.

To the OP, the intake horn mod will help with these trucks. But like stated, I doubt it will ever be as distinctive as the VVT.

they will never whistle anything like a variable vane charger. only thing you can do is upgrade to a better turbo or get a metal intake, boost valve, 4" exhaust, block the turbo resonator with a 2" plumber cap. More fuel to spool faster...that's basically it

oh yea.....rick d lance's headers and uppipes are a great investment for more power and faster spool up. not sure if would necessarly increase the "whistle" but def. spool faster.

Straight pipe exhaust helps too, a cheetah sounds real good on the LB7.

With a S&B cold air intake (all stock air intake components are removed) and a 4" exhaust my trucks turbo really whistles. Dont know if the exhaust made it any louder. The intake was installed before the exhaust.

When I first installed the intake I actually posted here to ask if that high pitch whistle from the turbo was normal. My wife still thinks prolonged exposure to the whistle will make me go deaf. What?

Yeah they are a little out of my price range right now, I guess I will just wait to do it right when I get some money.

just do a tap-off similar to what is done for drive pressure guage and run it to metal whistle instead, that should do it.
