Running the new 15k mobile synthetic and after the fact i noticed it wasnt rated for diesels. I heard someone say on here it was the same oil as the truck/suv that is recommended for diesels. I looked on the site for a little while but couldnt find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think it is the same, though I could be wrong. Is it a 5w40 oil? If not, that will be a clue right there.

The weight of the extended performance oils is only 5w30 or 5w20, so you're running a little thinner than was is recommended. Also while the extend performance meets some diesel specifications, it doesn't meet the more demanding like the Delvac1 or Truck&Suv.

Bottom line, I wouldn't run it for too long in your motor, but short term you'll probably be ok.

i guess i should have added that. The oil was 15/50 extended 15k oil
