I've searched and searched the forums to find instructions to remove the cluster on a 2008 LMM with the LTZ interior, no luck. It's quite different to the other interiors. Can anyone help with this? I need to put a template into the speedometer. Thanks.

Been a little while since the last time i did this but i think this is what you have to do. The bezel around the cluster is held in by four screws. Pop the left ac vent out to find one, two are in the top of the bezel and the other is behind the right ac vent which also pops out. Then remove it. THe other bezel on top of the cluster snaps on and is very difficult to pop of just dont be afraid to tug on it. After that remove screws from the cluster.

There's a great video on how to remove the gauges here:

It's not too bad to do but I can't say there weren't a few curse words during the process. Mainly trying to get the clips on the vents to loosen and then trying to get the needle placement right. I had marked the positions, matched the needles up when I put them back on but when I plugged the cluster back in and put the key in they would jump up. So a word of advice from someone who has ventured down this road before you put the entire dash back together, put the cluster together, leave the rest of the dash apart, put the key in, let the needles settle, make sure they're right, turn the truck on, make sure they're still right, and then make sure they're still right after you turn the truck off before and after you take the key out. It's a lot less to take apart again if they're slightly off.

Yes, Kenafin 02TA, the video I linked above says to plug in the cluster without the clear plastic front, and also before putting the needles back on. Then insert the key but don't turn it on, THEN put the needles on in the pre-marked positions.

Awesome. I didn't watch the entire video that closely but it's good to know that it mentions that. When I did mine I was working off printed directions I had found someplace. The printed directions of course had you put a lot of the dash back together before inserting the key.

I saw somewhere a speedo gauge/skin with 200mph - anyone else seen these & where?
