Ok here goes. I am new to efi live and jumping in feet first. We have a tts computer on the truck with a three position switch. Will I be able to read and modify the tune to this computer? I have tried but it gives me a error code when I try to copy the pcm tune thats in it already. Do I have to take the TTS out and just put a stock computer back in? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The TTS ECM may be locked to prevnt reading/writing. What error are you getting? have you tried using "Alt keys"

Copying the TTS tune is a no no and is locked in because of this. Stock ECM is your only option really

Reviewing tunes is a touch subject, JD's right a direct copy is probably not the most respectable path. You can however do some logging an get relative numbers (i.e. relative timing, pulsewidth) for the basis of your own tunes (this can also be a touchy subject, but a lot more legit then a direct copy). Anytime you review someone elses work, you're walking a fine line. I personally haven't seen the results of many tunes outside of the library, pretty much small steps of trial and error for me; you can do the same, just takes longer.
