What is the best PSI to air down to for the sand? Both truck and trailer.

I tow a 22 ft. toy hauler and am concerned about the extra weight popping the bead. Last time I ran 14 PSI, but I didn't have to go anything deep or any rough patches with the truck/trailer bouncing around.

I put 16 to 17 on my truck tires and 20 lbs in the toy hauler. Worked great in Glamis.

Thanks.... and I assuming you never had an issue popping a bead with the extra weight on the rears.

So I should be good at 15 then.

No never had any issues I did take it easy though when the trailer was hooked up. After I dropped trailer, i had a pretty good time and no issues.

That psi sounds about right. I have auto air down valves so I never really pay attention.

Gasuout(Johnny) and I have some storys man about pulling out sum heavy ass rigs in Glamis. We have a blast. Nothing like yanking a 7000lbs ford and his 14klbs toy hauler out. I love it

do yourself a big favor and upgrade your trailer to 16 rims with toyo HT E rated.I did on my 22ft toy and never have to air it down even at pismo.Wider tire, more stable tow, floats over sand with 80 psi.My toy hauler loaded with rail is around 11k lb.

In glamis I run 10 PSI, I just put Toyo MT 295 70 17s. We go to wash 3 so I don't feel it needed to lower the trailer pressure. The truck is enough, we actually drove around for a day or so in the dunes and thru the sand with my truck tires inflated at 75 pounds with minimal issues
