I just bought a 2001 2500hd LB7. The truck was bone stock when I bought it. Last night I put on an edge juice (the guy didnt have it hooked up) well i discovered something is wrong with. there was no performance gain and it threw a code. so i took it back off. now it seems that my down shift is alot harder from 2-1 like your downshifting early and dropping the clutch on a manual and then sometimes it will have snatch off the line. i had only driven the truck for maybe 10 miles previous to this so maybe i just had not noticed but i really dont think so. right now i have a little bit of concern there is 155000 on the ticker, tranny temp stays right around 150-160, and the fluid is clean.

could adaptive shifting be causing this?

tried using my brothers ppe but something doesnt seem right i stopped writing at 25 codes. i think this edge has corrupted my stock ecm. is this possible? the truck is running perfectly other that the stop to go and 2-1 shifts. the owner of wicked customs is gooing to stop buy my shop in the morning for a quick glance. should i just get a oem flash?

UPDATE: Codes were a garbled mess and made no sence they were like A456 ABCD and there was like 30+. so i put it on my friends machine at wicked customs said possible ecm failure. pulled the pan on the tranny totally clean no metal and the fluid looked like it was brand new. So it took it to roger dean chevrolet and let them have a go at it turned out out to be a damaged terminal connector in the main engine harness. probably because the guy used to have an edge POS on the truck. TOTAL DAMAGE: $276

Yeah, with that many codes its usually a loose or damaged connector. I will say though, a $276 repair is better than a $5k tranny rebuild. Glad you got it figured out.

Could a bad NBSU cause these problems? Usually that messes with with gear indicator though too, but you never know.

no sense codes leads to bad grounds, low voltage i believe.
