It sense slip and pulls out the extra power its adding till it stops slipping. problem is there has to be slip there for it to work in the first place so you are still doing damage. Banks is the same way.....

Do you know what percentage of slip the Edge has to see in order for it to back down? Banks is set at 3%, and I believe the Allison is set at 5% from GM.

I've seen 3.xx slip on my attitude with 0 back down. Of course when i saw that I lifted my foot. Typically I can see the normal 0.6%-0.8% "electrical noise" but how about above 1.0% is it still noise? It usually happens when hitting bumps in the road or when I'm getting after it pretty good.
