How do you tell what engine a truck has? My buddy just got an "04" but we don't know if it's an 04 LB7 or an 04.5 LLY.

I assume there is a code in the VIN - are those codes posted somewhere on the site?

Eight number for the LLY is 2, not sure for the LB7 but you could do a search to find out.

Eighth digit of the vin will tell you, 1 for LB7 and 2 for LLY, the link above explains more.
