I'm plumbing the powershot 2000 system and I have the SD manifold. The instructions say plumb the boost line into manifold and the propane line into the air cleaner. Can I plumb them both into the SD manifold along with N2O, or will that affect boost readings, or is there something I'm not thinking about?
Thanks,
Rob

Pick up boost pressure at the manifold, or tee off of your boost gauge.

Inject propane into the air stream, anywhere between the filter and the turbo. About 6-8 inches before the turbo works just fine. The SD manifold, is a slick piece:cool2:. Makes for a nice clean installation.

Why do you inject preturbo? or does it matter???

i have done both ways and either worked okay, but powershot advised me to do it pre turbo for better mixing, witch makes sense, so far all good

At WOT with 30 psi swooshing through there does it much matter? Or is that more for lower load situations? Not arguing just thinking aloud;) Would be preferable plumbing wise to go right before my motor post turbo......although I suppose there is a good spot in my afe intake......hummmmm......interested in hows and whys anyway. Thanks:)

I'd think the pressure (as the case post-turbo) versus the vacuum/suction (as the case pre-turbo) would have a lot to do with it. I don't believe the propane is injected under a large pressure if any at all (thought it was more less kind of fogged in).

I could be wrong though...

if the propane is injected at a pressure below the boost pressure you wont get any propane at boost. therefore you inject it on the vacuum side of the turbo.

Makes sense. thanks

Thank-you gentleman, that cleared things up for me.

The propane injection site is best prior to the turbo. Injecting the propane prior to the turbo will give you a better and more complete mix. Don't forget to make sure you have the right orfice and the correct spring in the regulator.
