Did my injectors this weekend. Not a bad job, but holy sh*t is there a lot of stuff to remove. I had one surprise on the #7 injector, the crush washer was laying next to it on the head . Now I'm not a mechanic by trade, but I think I would have noticed that laying there before I buttoned things up . All is well now, only had to replace the WIF sensor, the wires finally corroded in half.

Yeah, there is a bunch of snit in the way. How many hours did you spend on it?

(dreading the day mine go out)

What symptoms did you have?

It took about 10hrs total from start to finish including bleeding the coolant and so on. The biggest pain in the a$$ are the (3) cap screws on the drivers side near the firewall. That and having any dirt or debris near the top of the valve covers that wants to fall into your engine .

Symptoms included low power, white haze/smoke at idle and I was getting blue smoke after idling for a couple of minutes. I was also surprised I didn't have fuel in my oil given that there was a crush washer not installed on the #7 injector. It was laying next to the valve spring when I opened things up. Not Cool.

I also ended up doing the water pump. Another pain in the butt. Using the DIY section on here is a life saver.
