I started getting a message for water in fuel. I changed the fuel filter and I am still getting it. I am assuming after doing a search for answers that my WIF wires are bad and need a new one. I would like to support a site vendor, who sells these and how much?

Yeah I know he has them but he has pulled out as a site vendor. Was wanting to support a site vendor first if possible.

I think you'd should get one by going to a junk yard. That's what i would personally do. My wires broke off today when changing my fuel filter and I think 59 bucks is a bit too much. BTW my water in fuel light hasn't come on at all even though wires are broke off.

Thanks Dirtbike
As for no light with the wires broke. Thats why. No wires, no circuit will be completed. Likely not going to hurt anything but you will never know of a potential problem without the warning device functional

I have new AC Delco for $49.99 if you need them, by the way are you getting any P1093 or other fuel pressure codes??

You will never know of a potential problem with the warning device functional. It simply doesn't work well if at all. No, not worth the $60.00 bucks.
If the filter is good and you get a slug of water the filter life will go to 0%, a code will set for low fuel rail pressure, and the engine will go into limp mode. You will not get a water in fuel DIC warning. Been there done that and poured the water out of the filter during a change after the above limp mode...

Eric, I order the WIF sensor from you and the filter head spacer and got a e-mail saying it has been shipped. Thanks for the quick service. Now have a question on New Filters, some are saying they will last longer than the 15,000 mile recommended filter change. Any truth to this, or just a manufacture ploy???
