Don't know how many tractor guys are out there but ya'll can probably appreciate this. I was doing a little work with my Dad's Case 1290 today. I had only ran it about 10 minutes when it died.
Sure enough , opening the fuel cap, the tank was emptyCensored
Don't know if the newer tractors are like the trucks, but the old tractors can sure be a pain when you get air in the lines. Instead of going through the manual and bleeding the lines, I figured I would try an old trick my cousin told me about. I simply loosened the connections at front 2 injectors, turned the motor over , and tighened the connections when the air stopped coming out. When I was tightening the second connection , she fired right up:ro)
Made my day. I had expected it to be a lot more trouble since it has probably 5 or more years since I had done this. It also helped having a strong battery.
