: Are the replacement injectors rebuilt? animal 05-16-2005, 08:17 PM Just got my truck back, had all new injectors replaced and new injector lines, drove 4 miles, filled the crankcase full of diesel fuel, just wondering if the replacement injectors are rebuilt because I seen re-manufactured on the boxes. Dealer said they send the old ones back to be rebuilt. I wanted to get one for a paper weight - rats! Been there done that, it is easy to do. especially when trying to beat the clock. I have resigned myself to loosing at this job, especially on the 4500/5500s. the light duty trucks I can come close with out rushing. I'd rather loose the first time, not the return trip, less time is lost for all parties involved.
