Installed rear bags this weekend. They lined up side-to-side but front to rear the top mount is atleast .5" off.
Anyone else have this problem?

When I mounted mine, there is a lip on the Frame right where the top bracket mounted at the front edge. I would have had to push the top bracket back a hair to mount, and it would not have been in line top to bottom. Instead I ground the leading edge of the bracket down, and ground the corresponding area of the frame back a bit to make it even.

I'm assuming this is what you are referring to?

No lips, the bolt holes just don't line up.

Is it possible that the left and right sides are reversed?????

Mine went on just fine.

I wish...there is no left or right side. All parts are identical.
I sent a bunch of pix's to Airlift tech support tonight.
Here is the upper plate.

I posted a few months ago with the same problem. No one gave any constructive answers. Mine are not as bad as yours, maybe 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch off. Doesn't seem to have hurt them yet, still hold pressure.

cdhd2001,
Shoot them an E-mail their Tech support is awesome:ro)

Their response to my pix's was "It is very odd that your particular truck is the first one that I've seen these issues with." The tech went on to say that he has the same truck I do only an '03 and he didn't have any problems with his.
Anyway, they will be engineering a fix and shiping the parts out to me. :ro)
So far they are doing a great job standing behind their products.

I'll follow-up once the parts come in and I get them installed.

can you rotate the lower spring bucket back a little?

No, the lower bucket and mounting plate rest on bracket that is welded to the axel housing. Also, Upper and lower buckets need to be perpendicular to each other. Hard to tell in that pix, but they are.

Would it make a difference if you rotate the upper bracket 180.

It looks like the holes would make the plate sit differently.

??????

No, that would make the bags hit the leaf springs.

crewcab03,
Couldn't get my fat head up there to take the pix, that was the best out of 3 blind shots.

Got another e-mail from airlift today. Apparently I have the, new design, upper bracket. They offered to send me an old set or if I wanted to wait they would redue a set of new ones for me. I 'm getting the old ones. Doesn't matter to me. The design change was to make the installation easier they said.

Got the brackets from Airlift on Wednesday of last week. Got under the truck this weekend. New design upper bracket is alot easier to install. Needed to rotate tires so installing the old design wasn't that bad with the tires off. Drivers side lined up perfect, but did have to use all the adjustment on the upper bracket. Passenger side still isn't right. Shot a bunch of pic's to Airlift tonight, so we shall see what they want to do next. This pic is of the passenger side with the TT (7k+) on the ball and 43 pis in the bags.
