I was looking through the junk yard the other day and noticed a 90's C3500HD cab and chasis, with a rear sway bar. Would it be possible to swap this to my 98 K3500 SRW. I have always wondered why GM doesnt used sway bars on there 2500-3500 pick ups. Any opinions?
The DRW axle is shorter from hub to hub than the SRW version, although the sway bars may be the same length. You'll need to take a tape measure to the mounting points to find out if it will fit on your truck.
I picked up a front and rear set of bars from Hotchkiss and have been very happy with them. They might list a rear bar for your truck, if you're interested. I'm running a 14 bolt full-floater that should be identical to yours.

I searched hotchkis website, but couldn find anything for 2500 or 3500 trucks or subs. Do you got a part number. Maybe i`ll go to the junck yaqrd with a tape and think about this.

I installed the Hellwig rear HD anti-sway bar on my '07 dually. It was easy, even laying on my back on the garage floor. It really cuts down on the lean and sway when carrying my Lance 1191 slide-in camper. I too can't understand why it's not an option at least on the 3500's.

I added a rear sway bar on my '98. Worked great while hauling a slide in camper. I do not think there was enough clearance between the Diff. cover and the bar for a high capacity cover like everyone uses now. Maybe someone who has one will chime in.
