truck won't start i have done the following, it was stored for the winter started right up when i got it out . since then both baterries died. so i bought 2 new batteries, put them in yesterday but it won't start.turns over fine.opened the vent on top of the filter and cranked it over shoots a 3" steady stream so I know that much is good where do I go from here.
before i put it away it was stalling and sometimes it would not start without trying the key 6-12 times

Feel the fuel shut off on the ip pump( silver cylender in front )
It should click and you should be able to feel it move inside.
of course someone needs to sw the ign on/off..

Getting any white smoke while cranking?
See if there is any fuel getting to the injectors by cracking one loose and see if fuel comes out while cranking.

Try loosening the #1 injector and cranking as knkreb suggests and check the glowplugs for .8-1.4 ohms.

Look at all the wireing on engine for places mice might have been munching. When you stoar for a long time they can do a lot of dammage.
