Shift Solenoid B, Circuit Electrical.

What and where is this solenoid? Anyone, anyone?

You have to drop the tranny pan and it's #2 on the wiring harness from where it enters the housing. It cost ~$15 and takes 5 minutes to install once the pan is down.

save your self some agravation replace both a and b solenoids while you have the pan off filter too

Great! Thanks guys!. BTW what do these solenoids do anyway? I was planning to replace the pan with a larger capacity one anyway. This gives me the excuse!

they are the shift solenoids they allow fluid to pass through them or block fluid to move the shift valves in the valve body to apply the appropriat clutches or bands

Hmm, wonder why one would go bad. Only have 24k miles on the rig.
