In general does a 6.2 have alot of problems? :confused:

No, not usually, some go many many miles with just general maintenance like keeping ahead of oil and filter change, fuel filter changes, and keeping the engine cool, which means servicing the cooling system.

I replaced a number of glow plugs before Delco came out with the 60G glow plugs. None of those have failed. I did put in the heavy duty injection pump which provides a little more power. I do not have a turbo so I expect my engine to last a long time. I had to replace the rear main rope oil seal (with a two nitrile seal).

I have always changed the oil and filter close to 3,000 miles and maintained the coolant system. I also replace the air and fuel filters regularly.

I don't race my engine nor do I lug it. I checked my main and rod bearings when I put in the new rear main oil seal. The clearances were in the middle between min. and max. and the engine had 175,615 miles on it.
