I have a 05 DRW and want to remove the factory plastic bed rail caps to fill in some holes on the metal from a toolbox and replace the bed rail caps with the same plastic bed rail caps. Any ideas on how to remove these?

They will just pull right off.
Start by the cab and work your way back, there is 1 bolt I think on each rear corner.
