Finally got the new motor up and running. Motor is running nice and smooth. There is about 100 miles to date on the latest build. My oil psi was slowly diving over the 100 miles and found fuel in the oil. Balance rates check out almost perfect. These new injectors probably only have about 5K miles on them. There were 0 issues with them in the last motor. So I am having a hard time thinking it is the injectors. Was thinking an injector body, but not too sure if and why an injector body cracked.

Are you physically able to see an injector with a damaged body? I guess all 8 would have to be pulled and inspected?

Was also thinking it may be a return line leaking...or improperly seated hard line...

Just checking to see if anyone else had found other issues and ways fuel was getting into the case.

Thanks
Mike

It really could be any of the things you mentioned. Either way the valve covers will need to come off

Same thing happend to me just now, I didnt torque a bolt on the return line. I would pull the valve covers. You could see it drip around the gasket, pipe, and injector. $46 dollers later for being an idiot I hope to have mine going by this weekend.

Got the driver side valve cover off tonight to take a quick look. I found that the one injector had a broken o-ring on the hard line side. The metal "screen" was also packed with corrosion.

I am guess the restriction and broken o-ring were the source of the fuel leak. Will be pulling the rest of the driver side part tomorrow to pull/check injectors and the other lines.

How much work do these o-rings even do? Figured the metal fitting really did all the work.
