I was looking at buying the blue ox diamond gooseneck hitch. I was wondering if anyone has this and if its worth the money?

According to the instructions, you'll be drilling some holes through the frame to install it.

I went with the B&W Turnover Ball hitch, as it uses existing holes and patented hardware for correct fitment, with no drilling in the frame. The B&W hitch also has a fifth wheel adapter to fit, if you need that. Looks like the Blue Ox does not. The B&W is a little more money, but definitely well worth it.

Customer service at B&W is excellent also.

I now a few people who use the b&w and the blue ox and they like them both, and have never had any problems with either brand. I guess I'm cheap and prefer my old school homemade hitch with 6" channel boxed in with 4" underneath and the unit welded to my frame. I only spent $50 on the ball and weldable nut, and had the rest laying around the shop.

thanks for all the info. I think I'll probably go with the B&W just so holes dont have to be drilled through the frame.
