I recently ordered a 05 duramax, I was a cummins driver and had some big mods done to it, but am not up to date on the dirtys. I ordered a 6spd have exhaust, and a clutch. I was wanting to know what should i use to get a LOT OF SMOKE. Would appreciate any reply thanks.

Edge/Attitude and Predator puts out a decent amount when both on kill.

Be aware that the flywheel in the 6-speed is the weak link..
If you want to create power/make smoke..You'll be living on borrowed time without a flywheel/clutch upgrade.
(I have just over 10K on my truck, and the first flywheel is almost garbage already:mad::

On edit..you say you ordered a clutch..what did you order out of curiousity?

Most smoke on a single box would go to Edge setting 5 fueling on 5 in my opinion. You will be able to fill up an intersection with thick black smoke.

Edge on level 5 and low boost on 5 along with the predator 40 tune makes a good amount of smoke. I'd imagine as you turn up the predator with the edge you'll get more smoke. The edge will smoke on its own but the predator increases it a bunch.

Need smoke?

McRat do you know of a programmer that stacks well with the juice..........or should I ditch the juice and go with a different box????? I know you have done a lot of testing and will prolly know the best stack that is available. I appreciate the help as I'm sure all of the other LLY guys do too.

I dont want smoke I want performance most of all..........But the smoke factor is kinda cool at the track but towing and driving around town it is kinda annoying.

You want less smoke, try the Banks. I ran it Friday, and was impressed by the power without big smoke.

With the Edge on kill, I'd try the Predator on one of the lower tunes.

I need to revisit the LLY Edge after the new changes, but haven't.

I have the same opinion. Just unburned fuel which is BAD for all of us, the nature, for the future of our kids...and of course it cannot be good for the dmax engine either.....

Some like the smoke............some dont.

Then if you want a good amount of smoke at the track and at the same time none when you are towing and driving around town. The Edge box is the way to go.

I run the edge on level 4 and predator on 65 daily. I hook to a trailer I back the edge down to level 2-3 depending on the load. Get a 10k pound load smokes very nice!!!!

Max smoke = remove turbo, install big fueling program or edge module......

The most smoke I have seen yet is PPE xcellerator and PPE enforcer stacked, both set on kill. You WILL need a built transmission.

Here's an idea. We need a "stinker switch". Something to override the computer and drop boost. This would allow us to watn off those pesky tailgaters.

Boost dump valve? Or, how about a wiring mod that opens the VVT vanes or wastegate, for a moment of low boost. Then we could tap out "back off!" in Morse code with smoke.

A smoke switch! YEAH! I'd buy one of those in a heartbeat! C-mon fingers... make it!
