you mean this one-----#1000SRK. With this kit you get everything needed to upgrade your transmission to handle 600 horse power and 1000 foot pounds of torque. You get the #A1000 torque converter with the oversize clutch, the #1000 Transgo Shift Kit with all of its upgrades, the deep cast aluminum pan that holds 3 1/4 extra quarts of fluid and our Alto Master Rebuild Kit with Red Eagle clutches and Kolene steels in all 5 clutch sets plus both internal and external filters. The freight is included in the price. Cost $1900.00

Alto Red Eagle & Kolene steels in all 5 clutch packs? I'd be leary about this, $1900 w/Shift Kit & converter--sounds like something has to be on the low side of quality.

Love that Chevelle!!!!!!!!!:cool2:

I was just wondering if it is something different, or if it is a suncoast kit with another name thats all.

Thanks for the compliment gtmax!

This is NOT a Sun Coast Kit !!

If you order this kit you will not get Kolene steels. The frictions may be Alto.
If they are Alto then they are the standard OEM replacements, not the Sun Coast plates and not Red Eagle. Transgo kit is Transgo kit. Torque converter??
not a Sun Coast.

Called these guys today and was told that the kit does not contain kolene steels. I told there representative that there on there own cite it states "kolene" steels. He said that what he was viewing didn't say "kolene" steels--apparently they haven't updated there cite to delete "kolene" from there add. Oh well  .

It sounds to me like the kolene steels were never in there to begin with and this would put them in the "False Advertisment" catagory.

As more and more kits become available, the prices will come down. Just make sure you are getting what you pay for. Competition is a good thing. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

Can't wait to upgrade my tranny. Stock is definitely lame. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif

Competition is good thing, so long as they do not compromise componentry to undercut each other, which seems to be the case here.
