hello...2004 d/a (lb7) with afe stage 2, 4" straight pipe, edge/attitude. i have the wastegate unpluged and on levels 3,4 or 5, i see the same max boost of 25.6. is that normal? should i see more with the stock turbo? ive tried the banks big head and wasnt pleased at all. i adjusted probably 4 times and saw no more than 23 pounds each time (yes, i did it right).

The Juice caps the boost signal to keep from setting over boost codes. You are making more boost than that, but I would recommend putting the wastegate line back to stock.

Edit: fogot about the Banks comment.....You have to use air to push the rod down to get it in....if you can put it in without using air, you are not doing it right. You will also need a boost gauge as the Juice only goes so high....but you already knew that.;)

With running the banks actuator with the edge, what should max boost be? I haven't installed mine yet, this question is for when I do.

I always wondered the same thing. Looking at my sig what kind of boost numbers do you guys think I'm making?

With the Banks you pretty much make it whatever you want.....per say. I believe the majority agrees with 30psi being plenty, and 32psi being the most recommended for longevity.

DD...with the stack and stock wastegate, probably close to 30psi. The thing is, the stock wg, the actuator actually starts bleeding off pressure quite a bit sooner than the 30psi as it was not designed to be used in the higher boost pressure range. The Banks allows adjustability and and does not bleed off like the stock wg until you get closer to the psi value you set it at So, it stays closed longer...allowing a bit quicker spool up and more usable air throughout the RPM range.

If you had a gauge installed you would see that you are close to 28-30 range. Be careful when messing with the wastegate. Talk to Juice, he will fill you in on that 5 times over...

Yeah I gotta get an aux. gauge. The Attitude won't go higher than 25.6

It's designed that way so it does throw over boost codes.

actually the OEM boost sensor, which edge uses, can't read anything higher than that.

gee, thanks big dipper for letting me know that like i said, "i did it right " ;) Well, I could have told you to do some reading like some of the other members would have....and if you did that reading you would see that some have installed it not using air and once they found that they needed to....voila...adjustable boost. Some have pulled it with pliers even thinking it would be fine, but the actuator moves quite a bit. The stock wastegate would produce close to 28psi with the Juice on my truck, so I would have to assume it's in the adjustment of the Big Head.....or you have a defective one, which would be a first. If you are not happy with it, PM me a price and I'll take it off your hands.
