I am looking at possibly buying a 95 2500 with a 6.5l. Its a really nice truck and the guy only wants $1500. It had a small electrical fire and the wiring harness is jacked up. I was wondering if there is anywhere I could go to get a reproduction wiring harness? I can't seem to find anything. Can anyone help? Has anyone else done this? Thanks.

I have a complete wiring harness out of a 94 one ton 6.5.... The engine side is all labled from when i took it off my new engine...

Don't count this 100% but I believe painless performance makes a wiring harness for the 6.5...
But if not than your best bet is either DieselSlug above or a junkyard with a 6.5 in it.(Good luck with that last part... you'll understand why should you choose to look)

I was unaware that the engine wiring harness was seperated into individual sections. (I have very little knowledge of the 6.5) Bu I think its the whole shebang. The fire was at the rear of the engine and it melted the wires that run behind the engine along the firewall as well as to the windshield wiper motor and light on the hood. Also a few other plugs around that area.
Dieselslug; How much for the harness?
I checked painless out and couldn't find anything online. That sure doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.
I also went to check it out toady and I got the vin and I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow to see if I can get one there.
Thanks for all the help guys, I have to say this is probably the most helpful forum I have ever seen.

I have a complete engine harness from a 94 Chevy c2500 truck Vin F and 4L80E. I'll send it to you for a reasonable price.
Is the existing harness repairable? If so, maybe we can help trace the wires to get her runnin'.
Edit: I also have the chassis harness additional to the engine harness outta the same truck.

PM me, How much for it?
This truck is also an "S" vin. What difference will that make for the wiring harness? I found the difference was egr and precups (not exactly sure what precups are only know they are part of the head and believe they are the area that the fuel is injected into, but if someone could shed light with a description that'd be great :D)
Would it be possible to make an "f" wiring harness work on an "s" truck?
Also, I am a big Camaro guy, and the idea of a diesel Camaro intrigues me. I love it.

S vin has EGR. F Vin does not. There will be minor adjustments in the wiring I would imagine between the 2. If your truck is a S vin then I advise using an S vin wiring harness to avoid causing the PCM undue irritation. You can always put a blocker plate on the EGR, or get an F intake at a later time then have bill Heath hook you up with one of his EPROM's with the EGR delete progrmaing.

Does anyone know if you can use the vin "f" wiring harness for a vin "s" truck?
