I spent hours doing searches and reading on 19.5s and 22.5 or 22s. I didn't find much on 22 or 22.5s. I thought I knew what I wanted. A set of direct bolt on 19.5s with 225-70s. I called to get some pricing (http://www.chromewheel.com/) and was told I would be better off for what I want to do with 22"s. Has any one put a big wheel kit and not like them. I hoping for some personal feed back from experience. I'm using my truck mostly for just getting around but pull a 10,000 lb trailer 2 to 3 time a month. My thinking was direct bolt ons would be a lighter rotating mass and 1 less thing to fail. I not looking to increase my load.Just want it to look good and a little different from all the others.

I like these http://www.americanforcewheels.com/ I may do their 19.5's down the road. As for the 22's, It will kill your gearing and IMO...looks a little "much" on most trucks.

Everyone who has 19.5 and larger wheels always complain about ride quality.
I was going to do the same thing until I started talking around and I have not found one person that is 100% happy with the ride.
If ride is toy important, they do gook good.

I drove a friends NBS 3500 with Eagle wheels and 245/70/19.5 Hercules tires. It had Cognito UCAs and Bilstiens in the front and bags with 20 lbs in the rear. IMO it rides as well or better tham my stock height and tired 06 3500. I will be doing the same as soon as I wear out my 16s.

I just want to say I'm 100% happy with my '08 dually on Alcoa 22s. The ride, look, handling, towing, everything is exactly what I had hoped it would be. Very very happy with the truck!
Hope that helps. Specs on my truck are in my sig.

If you go with the 19.5's and pull a trailer or run heavy, you just might not like the feeling of trying to stop. The slower starts may be OK, along with loss of fuel economy, but the feeling of stopping fast can be quite interesting.

Cant tell much difference than stock. I have 55 psi front and 60 in rear, might be a lil underflated but they ride like stock or the 33" mud tires I had on before

I had 19.5's on my dually for a little while. I loved the look, but I did not like the ride. However, I didn't mind sacrificing the ride! I'll be going with 22.5's in the future.

I have had both 22.5's and 22's and they both have there pros and cons to each. Just as stock wheels and tires have pros and cons. 22's are going to be softer than the 22.5s but will get alot less miles out of them. Where a 22.5 is a little rougher (if the pressure is correct, But we all have to remember it is a one ton truck we are driving around) but will track better and have tons of miles to spare.

I had the money to do either :). I was leaning towards 19.5. My wife took the money for a Disney trip
