IIRC they were about $2200, I don't know if it was a limited batch or start of production.

Wow 2200 beans! This duramax drug just keeps you wanting to get to another high. I wonder if crack is cheaper lol.

Nick, for the money you should go with the drugs, Nitrous I mean. The CP3 is something to get if your going to upgrade to bigger turbo.

The cp3 will go just as well with the nos, as it would the turbo, but helps out guys with injectors and big programs the most

For a truck that is street driven, wouldnt the CP3 be an issue with the smoke?

McRat

Probably not. Injectors might, but not improved capacity of the pump. The injectors and tuning control smoke.

Jus outta curiosity, what kind of HP numbers would a modeefied CP3 pump get ya? Especially one pumping fuel mixed with air from two turbos.

Would it be streetable?

Yes.
740 RWHP is possible with the stock injectors if we had enough fuel supply.
The unknown quantity is when the duty cycle of the injector solenoids runs to 80%.... will they burn up or burn out? Solenoid duration can be programmed, but some time after 700 on #2 only we will need to go to bigger holes as there will be too big of a liability in running the duty cycle past 75%.

Just a couple 'guesses'
FWIW... something to chew on.

Edit: "Streetable" will be a relative term. There are a few working on upgrades to the fuel system.....

It will rely upon programming once these systems see the light of day.

Unless I miss my guess, I'm pretty sure that there will be a couple of highly engineered solutions available by the end of the year. I know Bank's takes a lot of slams on this site, but if you really look in depth at what they are doing with their dmax road race truck it's pretty stunning. The Bonneville Dodge truck looks like a publicity stunt in comparison, although a publicity stunt that I would kill for a ride in. But to make the kind of horsepower they are talking about and to do it with the kind of reliability you need for endurance racing, well I gotta think that is eventually going to translate into a complete package for the street that should be able to get at least 600 very streetable horsepower.

Couple that with all of the other talent that is unlocking the DMAX genie and I think that its only a short matter of time before the DMAX becomes the engine to have on the street.

Unless of course CAT came out with an engine for the pickups. Call me a redneck but anything CAT is cool.

From what I've been told Banks has no intention of releasing any parts developed for the Duramax race truck or drag truck.
