: Easiest way to access Bose sub?

I can't get the subwoofers in my truck to hit worth a darn. I am convinced that it is due to my Line out converter hooked into my rear speaker. I just think there is hardly any bass being sent to the door speakers. If GM were to do it right, the whole system should be set up with crossovers putting all the bass to the stock sub. And from what I can tell by putting my ear to the speakers, that is infact how it is set up. SO, my goal is to figure out what parts I must rip off the center console to get to the subwoofer. Once I get to the sub, I will be able to hook my LOC into the positive and negative wires of the Subwoofer, and I should be able to get some decent hits from my subs.

And before anyone asks, Yes, these subs were hooked up in my old truck and absolutely slammed. The only difference between the set up in this truck and in my old one is that in the old one, the RCA's were hooked into the jack in the back of my Kenwood. Not into a LOC.

Any advice would be appriciated!

Purchase a PAC Amp Out module.
Remove the storage compartment in the center console.
screws at the bottom of the storage box
best is to remove the rear end of the center console in a CC
the you can access the OEM amp easier. Take the main plug out of
the amp and fit the PAC module one plug to the plug you just removed
the other one into the amp.
that gives you two RCA pairs for connecting an amp and a sub
I have a 12" Fosgate in a flat housing under the back seat (wider part)
no space behind the back seats .. to much stuff installed.
works a treat ..
good luck

I have heard of these but noone has ever explained exactly what they are. I thank you for going so. It makes a lot of sense. I will definitely look for one of these. Right now, I can hardly tell there are subs in my truck. It drives me nuts.

Where is the actual sub speaker located? Just wondering for future changes.

In the Front of the Center Console. Like under and infront of the Pockets.

Yeah, If you get down in the passenger side and reach right in front of the plastic on the side of your center console you can actually feel the port in the subwoofer box. It is a real pain to actually access the box though.

Have you tried to access by pulling the cupholders?

My cup holders pull out to clean or just remove and there is still a plastic floor of the console still there. I'll look in front of the console on the pass side to feel or see the subwoofer.
