Our truck has been kicking off of cruise control when hitting sharp bumps like railway crossings and pavement transitions.

I was wondering if others were seeing this with their trucks and if so what fixes were done?

Will take to dealer to have it looked at when I get recall notice regarding rear middle sealtbelt issue.

Thanks in advance.

Will it resume after it quits?

Had the same issue..... want to know what my fix was?
It'll come as a suprise to you.. i know it did to me.....

Check your TRAILER WIRING HARNESS for a short!

On a bump... you guessed it... cruise would kick off for no 'apparent reason'

Techs could duplicate the problem, it would not show up as a MIL or anything on a tech 2

If you have corrosion in the harness or connector it will do it!
Check the wiring or replace the harness and I bet that problem will go away. I see you live in salt city too.... I bet that fixes the issue!

yes.... same issue... if you unplug the trailer harness the problem should go away.

If it does you have your culprit.

The harness can corrode and make 'trailer brakes contact' or a brake feedback.

It could be as GJ says or it could also be the brake switch set to sensitive.

had same issue, only when wet trailering, so I assume as the others have stated, some sort of braking signal was being sent to kick it off. Problem did not continue, so i am not too worried. I was pissed at first as it was brand new, but I realized I could make it go away.
