Hey guys I am trying to install a Alpine CDA-9887 and a Metra GMOS-04 module. I am having a touch time fitting all the wires behind the radio.
How did you guys get the module and HU to fit?

Anyone got post of how they fit a aftermarket HU?

I have an Alpine HU in my 02 GMC and an antenna noise suppressor, and amp wiring (rca cables), and I just shoved what I could to the space to the left by around where my instrument cluster is. There is also a few inches to the right of the head unit. Its tight, but I just packed it in. Sorry I'm not really much help.

Ya Im gonna try again tomorrow when I have more light. I have stock HU removed right now.
My radio fits without removing that metal peice directly behind the radio. It it wasnt there I would have way more room!

There is room. On the left next to the cluster. On the right just below the AC ductwork. Behind the unit between the stock radio backing bracket (it's plastic, not metal) and the defroster ductwork. If you only have the radio and the module, you should have tons of room.:p: Put the module in 1st behind the radio backing plate, then you should have plenty of room for the radio.
Try adding a pre-amp and a crossover with all the RCA cables and 2 additional wiring harnesses like in the pics in my garage. That's the old system, I gotta get pics up on the new headunit.
