dunno if this topic belongs here, but.............it's raining big time here today and I still have the leak dripping off the e-brake pedal, to the tune of about a cup an hour.

OK guys, I have my dash trim off and I can see the drip, it's just below and a little right of the driver side air vent, next to a ground screw, looks like it's following a plastic channel/molding of some sorts from the right side, where the cowl and firewall come together, but I can't find where it's coming in from past that.

It drips onto a cast aluminum webbed plate below the speedometer housing, and when one of the webs fills up, it spills over and follows down the e-brake brace and drips off the pedal. It will also follow some wiring and the bottom of my fuse panel is wet.

I can tell you, it's diffently not a door seal leak on my truck, and I can't see it being from the windshield either.

I have the cowl screen and the wipers off now, and I'm still looking.

Dealer had it for 2 days a couple of weeks ago, they ran a hose over it for 2 hours, and couldn't find nothing. Fustrations got to me today, so off came the plastic, and this is as far as I can get.

thanks, Al

Do you have roof lights? If you do sometimes they leak around the rubber gasket and if the drivers side light is leaking, water it will run down the "A" piller then onto the floor. I put a small beed of sylacone around mine when I installed them to prevent leaks.

no roof lights.

Next time it rains, I'm going to grab a roll of strech wrap from work, and start from the top down and see if I can get it to stop.

Just from looking at it yesterday, my guess it would be from the cowl somewheres.

Had my windshield replaced by the dealer and it fixed the problem for me

Check the AC drain tube. I was having a similar problem but on the passengers side. Did the same thing gave it to the dealer to run water over it for two hours. Took it in the second time and the drain tube was plugged and that fixed the problem. It's just an idea to rule this out.

Any update? Mine leaks too. Dealers don't seem to know anything about how to fix.

Fuze panel gets wet. Can't be good.

Mine is leaking just below the ground stud in the seam. water is coming in from the cowl. I am going to reseal the seams in the cowl. Hope this helps.

What is the easist way to get to that location? Do I have to pull dash appart to get to it, or can I just pull cowl off?

Its not the windshield - for me. I got the dealer to cover it under "courtesy warranty" - yes I had to go to the service manager and dealer owner with unkind words. They had the truck for three weeks - they called me after the second week to tell me they couldnt even make it leak. The dealer totally sucks!. After going down and showing them, they removed the front driver fender to reveal poorly sealed door hinges. They actually contract this out to a leak finder vendor. Mine is fixed now. They removed the black cowl, which completely changed how water flowed into the truck. With it on, you could see water splashing into the cab with the interior driver side plastic removed and carpet pulled up. The passenger side does not exhibit the same problem. - Now all I have to do is convince GMC of poor manufacturing and get the stinky carpet replaced, and pay for my 3 week rental.

I thought mine was the A/C on the passengers side.....However, I confirmed that it is the rain as it leaked again today. I paid a local aftermarket place to install should I go there and have them put the silicone? Please give me your input.
