I have a slight miss when i stop at a stop light. It is not there all the time. It seems to be more so when my truck is hot then when it is cold at first start. It also has a fuel knock when it warms up. I replaced the fuel filter about 3000 miles ago before pulling a 20ft travel trailer to Colorado. If you step on it it gets up and goes. When I was up in Colorado my fan would come on when I was on a grade and I would back off to 60 MPH and after a couple of minutes it would go off. Only 1 time did my temp gauge go up pass 210. It went to the second small mark passed 210 and when I backed off it drop back down to 210 and after a couple of minutes the fan cut off.

Any Ideas

I have it at a shop right now having the waterpump replaced as I nocticed the overflow tank was low. When I opened the tank to top it off I saw coolant start to drop on the driveway. I never saw a drop on the driveway until I open the tank. I would think that under pressure it would have leaked more.

There wasa post like this a few days ago. You search for rough idle and see what pops up. But the guy added 2 cycle or a fuel treatment like power service to it and started running better. No idea if you run any fuel treatment. Give that a shot. My other thought is the fuel pressure regulator. As to over heat seems to be an issue with some LLYs. I say drop down a gear next time to help bring EGTs down.

I was running the gray Power Service while I was on the trip. I put a can of Sea Foam treatment in this tank but I have only driven about 75 mile. I put a fuel pressure regulator on it back in June. I am going to put a new fuel filter on it when I get it back in the morning and rule that out. I guess I will take it to the dealer to have them check the injectors and the fuel rates if the filter does not help.

Update Just got off the phone with the shop and they said that there was a stored code for #6 injector misfire. Code 0309? not sure about the code number but they said #6 injector misfire. Would this make the fuel knock sound that I hear and will it damage it to drive until I can get the money in 2 weeks to fix it?

try the ice pick method. the repairs the dealership will do will only buy you some time before it happens again. if you let them fix it, buy yourself an ice pick or test light and keep it in your truck; they are handy if your on a trip miles from help!:D
