I have a stock 6.2 and i didnt like the lack of power, especially at take off. So i removed the air-maze-induction and noticed a difference. The truck breaths better and got some more power. So i tried another thing and turned the airpan lid upside down and got alot more power but got very loud.

Question

Am i fooling myself or did i get more power?
Is it good or bad to turn lid upside down?
If good, how can i lower the noice level?

What is a ultimate way to enhance the air intake?

It is very possible that you gained power especially being NA
As long as it seals properly it doesn't hurt to flip the lid

A Natrually aspirated diesel with a open air intake is going to be loud probably no matter what
