Guys, the red air bag light beside the cruise and seatbelt light came on today. I'm pretty sure it came on after I went to a coin-op car wash and sprayed the truck down. Any way to fix this??

Did you spray the floor of the truck by chance? Some genius tried to wash the truck out with a pressure washer and got the air bag relay/sensor thingy (technical term) wet (one under each of the front seats). The dealer found it and replaced it, it was like $500.

Have you had the steering shaft apart lately?

The inside? No. The outside? Most likely. The light telling you to put your seatbelt on doesn't work now....

There is a front impact sensor just under the rad support in the front of the truck, its possible you managed to get water in there and it is shorting out. If you truck has side impact airbags there will be more sensors along the side of the truck, however I never had experiance with them.

Thats what I've been told, I'll check that out. Any way to resolve the problem without replacing the sensor?

Unless you can find out what resistance the sensor has to be at... no. If you have a junk yard around home you can get one for cheap. I had a extra one sitting around home, but I may have threw it out after I got my ABS system working.

Another way is get someone with a good code reader that can read ABS lights, this will give you somewhere to start looking.
