70runner 08-03-2009, 02:23 PM Hope you guys can help...my truck has the am/fm/single CD option (RPO UQ3). Would like to upgrade to OE nav unit. I'm told that I would need to add an amplifier because the UQ3 doesn't come with external amp which the nav radios require. Is this correct? If so, has anyone done this upgrade on an NNBS UQ3 truck? Tanc Crusher 08-03-2009, 03:56 PM You have a non Lux setup. Never done one but look up Lux here. I was thinking the Amp would have to been programmed as well as the Nav unit to work in the truck. Non of the aftermarket stuff does that. I know they can do the steering wheel controls, onstar, but not rear radio. Thats why I went OEM.
