Last time I talked to Recon they were to be out in late May or early June. I am still waiting.

Thanks! Its the only lights on my truck that have color on them, eveything else is clear. Was hoping for them to be done before memorial day. If you here anything, PM me. Thanks again!

No problem. I may do a search on here and track Recon down, so I can possibly give an update.

"Quad A" post:

IIRC when I took the Class D license exam here in Florida there were requirements for particular color side markers with certain tandems/trailers that exceeded a certain length and/or height. Not sure where that book went to. :o:

Will clear markers on the side of our trucks look like small headlights from the side? If you are trailering over a certain length will clear markers be legal? I know I've seen them on small cars and SUV's, but I'm not certain with towing long trailers/5vers.

I'm in the dark on this one, just posing the question in case it may cause any problems in these situations. I'll sit back and see what others have to say. JJ :)

you use clear lenses but colored bulbs.. that way you are still DOT legal.. and your truck looks different/good

Makes sense. It sounds like they would be much brighter at night, even safer! I'll consider doing this to my truck. JJ :)

Have you tried lightly painting them with the the color of your truck? Looks much better than the clear ones. The almost disappear during the day and still let most of the light trough at night.

i've done my tail lights like that, anyone who ever wants a cool effect clear coat your taillights the clearcoat with enough mil thickness acts like a fiberoptic the red bleads into it and on top of the normal intence red from the light it has a glowing halo around this..

on my tail lights since my truck is black i mixed a 4:1 ratio of DBC500 blending clear with black paint for the smoked look and then cleared of them with highvelocity clear... (500 is not uv protectent) but works better flowing out colors and doesn't build as much

this gave my clear tails a nice smoked looked tht blends into the truck without gaudy plastic

Wanting to buy them myself for my Sierra Denali. The rear is flared and it has markers on both sides of the fenders just like a dully. If anyone knows of a place to buy or makes them themself please email me @ jpatterson_74@yahoo.com.

Thanks, John
