Hi all, got site, lots of info. I searched the surrounding states for my dream truck for about 5 weeks. I could find trucks, but they all was missing something I wanted. I am 42 years old and this is the first new truck. I figured if I was going to pay close to $60,000 ,I was going to get exactly what I wanted. I found my truck at Jerry`s Chevrolet in Weatherford Texas. It was 1198 miles one way. The wife, my little girl, and I rented a car and left last Thursday. We drove 600 miles a day, and made a little getaway out of the trip. The truck is great, it is an 2009,crew cab, LTZ, with every option, except dual alternator. I cruise back home running 80-85 mph, got 13.8 mpg. Here at home I have never got better than 13.6 mpg. I love everything about the truck, exspeically the engine and trans. The rearseat intertainment ( baby setter) in itself was worth the trip. The backup camera is fantastic, wish I could turn it on while driving. All in all, She is a great truck.:)

You picked one hell of a 1st brand new truck bud, worth the wait I'd say. 'Tell you what, don't get too wrapped up in the mpg thing, but get wrapped up in the HP/TQ thing. You'll enjoy that sucker so much more. Congrats.

Hey!

What a truck. You are going to love the truck. Congradulations! They are great. I am only jealous because I could not find a white one for thousands of miles around. But that did not matter much once I latched onto the 5th wheel.

Thanks guys, of course I would like to have better MPG, but considering the size, weight, and the POWER, I am very pleased. It get better MPG than my smaller 2000 silverado 2500, 6.0. It looks like you all have some very nice rides,
thanks again
