Anyone out there know what the micron ratings are for delco fuel and oil filters? or where to find micron ratings for various filters? I run the delco units for both fuel and oil but am wondering if there are filters out there that do a better job and catch finer particles.

I will only run Delco for fuel - just too important a system to jack with it.

Here's some oil filter ratings (I run the M1-303 Mobil 1 oil filter)......
Mobil 1 5/18 microns
Baldwin 8/23 microns
Wix 13/37 microns
AC Delco 25/40

I'm with JIMMY...oem only.
Thanks for the input. I am generally of the same opinion I only want to run delco filters but had heard, and I think it was early on that there were fuel filtering issues with these trucks, and that no matter what brand all fuel filters are made by the same company... Racor so in theory they should all be the same. I just want to be sure I'm getting the best protection for my truck.
As for oil I run the mobil 1 5w-40 with the delco oil filter and am considering trying the mobil 1 filter on my next change.

I would def try the M1 filter over the AC Delco for oil. From AC Delco's website the AC Delco Duraguard filters are 25-30 microns Absolute or 98% of the time. Jimmy showed you the M1 micron rating and its far better than the AC Delco. The only thing better than the M1 is the Amsoil EAO filters at 15 microns absolute. So if your going to the auto parts store to get filters I say go with the M1 its the best that is available locally in your stores. This is a case in point proven by Jimmy where staying with the OEM oil filter is not better for your vehicle. It is however better for GM.
