i love it. gives me a feeling of peace. like everything is going to be okay. i wish they made dryer sheets for the laundry with a 'scent of diesel'. maybe i can rig something to the exhaust.... the garage is attached.

Do you weep when you go into the garage but have to get into the other vehicle.... The Wife's.

Just waiting for the diesel burban, and the whole fleet will be converted!

i agree!!! i don't even want to talk about my wife's ride.... but relief is on the way... just last week i told her the great news about the diesel suburban. she said "and why is diesel better again??"... so i sat the family around again and had another family meeting.

today i was putting *gas* in my lawn mower and was thinking about how awful that smell is to me.

I want a small diesel generator. I would never run out of fuel since it would always be near my Duramax.

Working in a diesel fuel injection shop for the last twenty years has dulled my sense of smell for diesel almost totally. Open up a pump or injectors that have had gas run thru it and I can pick that up instantly. It is all good, and heck my wife doesn’t complain either anymore, even when I help a bud out and install an auxiliary fuel pump on the frame rail and get fuel running down my armpit. That is some fun there!

I don't mean to hijack this post, but what is the talk about a diesel suburban? My dad has been holding out for one and if there is one in production I would love to tell him bout it. Thanx

Diesel what...? When I was working in the South Pacific (Tonga) they were importing diesel OUTBOARDS from Italy---sucker looked like it had a 55 gallon barrel for the engine cowling...!

I have a 14 HP Yanmar diesel garden tractor!!! I love cranking that bad boy up in the winter. It will fill the whole garage with grey smoke before it starts.

You get the wonderful aroma of diesel exhaust lingering for hours!!!! It just don't git no bedder-n dat!!! :D

Simplicity used to make one - 7790. Had a 2cyl, alum block, air cooled Lambordini. Talk about torque! Economy was d**med good too. The one I have is a real pain to start in the winter - whn I want to used the blower attachment.

John Deere has one, and Simplicity is offereing one with a Briggs or Kawasaki diesel. There are others I'm sure.
