Any opinions on the best diesel shop in the Seattle/Tacoma, WA area for warranty work?

Truck has been running great but has developed a miss at idle and once, at a stop light, not towing, after coming down the hills from Virgina City to Sparks, had rough idle and white smoke until acceleration when it turned to black. Seems to be ok otherwise.
The rough idle is intermittent and comes and goes while stopped at lights but is happening more frequently.

It is a 2004.5 LLY and has a little over 18600 miles. Changed the fuel filter at about 17000. Last oil change was at 15000. Truck is stock.

Biddle wants truck for two days and I don't know how good their diesel mechanic is and it is 50 miles from the south end.

I'm not sure if they have a "good" diesel mechanic, but if you live in the Kent/Auburn area, I REALLY like Valley Pontiac GMC in Auburn. I bought my truck there because the service department treated me RIGHT when I had a differential problem on my '95 truck.

If they need your truck for more than a day for warranty work, they can probably set you up with a loaner.

I happen to agree with you about the Auburn Valley Pontiac GMC. They did all my work on the old GMC.
But I have a Chevrolet and GMC dealers are unable to do warranty work on Chev's.

I tried Good Chevrolet in Renton but they did not impress me. I will try Bret Chevrolet in Kent next.

Anyone have an opinion on Jet Chevrolet in Federal Way?

Jet is good, know the Johnson's personally. Talk to Steve (weird last name) in service. He's the guy with the most knowledge back there, and wont shoot you wrong... Let's just say he's honest!

Update:

Jet Chevrolet replaced injector #6 last Thursday.
Truck seems to be running great.
Jet seems to have done a good job.
People were great.
