I was wondering if anyone makes a system to allow access to the command center..I did not get the controlls on the sterring wheel when I bought my truck.
I can tell the info is there but IThere is no way to retreave... Ie:oil life monter

Thats a great question, if there is a way I'd like to know it as well. I sure wish I would have waited for an SLT now.

You can add the steeringwheel pretty easy and reflash it and have everything. Otherwise you can view most of the info with a scan tool

What type of scan tool would do the best job I would guess the sterring wheel would be expensive seeing it has the air bag in it.

I didn't get the steering wheel controls, and don't regret it. I considered getting the DIC for the MPG function, but after adding a tuner programmer the MPG's monitor would be off anyways. Most everything else that the DIC is used for can be set manually.
That said, I use my Predator tuner to access the info from the computer. Even the Oil Life Monitor system. I'm happy with how it works for me.

Can't operate it on the fly though. I'd like to be able to access more than just the Hour meter, trip and odo without breaking out the Predator.
